Health

We offers a very interesting health program for volunteers, interns, medical electives and social workers who are very interested in saving lives in Africa and other developing countries. The program welcomes all health professionals, medical students, and those who needed some sort of medical knowledge to prepare them for further studies in the medical field, including public health. There is opportunity for all our program participants to work with highly qualified health professionals to acquire more direction before working on their own. 

HIV/AIDS

The HIV/AIDS program is very unique and interesting, organized in collaboration with government institutions, NGOs, and community based organization CBOs who are working very closely with the communities and HIV/AIDS patients. HIV/AIDS program is divided into two categories: prevention and management. The program gives participants an opportunity to do both. Program participants have a direct contact with the communities for an intensive education on the diseases HIV/AIDS and getting close to HIV/AIDS patients for counseling and dispensation of food and drugs. This program includes an outreach program where our volunteers join the health team for a public HIV/AIDS awareness campaign and distribution of condoms. 

Education and Teaching

The governments of all the countries in which we operate have declared war against child illiteracy. The governments are enforcing and championing the rights of children to a basic education. Our Teach Worldwide program supports and enhances government efforts and initiatives. Education is a strong focus in Africa, and other developing countries but in some areas teachers are in short supply. The  “Teach Worldwide” program is organized in collaboration with schools and communities in Africa and other developing countries to bring education to the poor children who really need what you have to offer. 

Wildlife, conservation/tourism based on wildlife:

The  Wildlife, Conservation/Tourism Based on Wildlife project is organized not only to expose the volunteers to the unique and famous wildlife and nature of Africa and other developing countries, but also to help preserve the parks, zoos and game reserved in Africa and other developing countries. The program will also make you fall in love with the nature.

Africa is really proud of its famous wildlife and scenery. Living and working with the rangers and getting close to Africa's wildlife and nature conservation projects is one of the best experiences you will ever have. In this unique program volunteers will work together with local volunteers and trained personnel. We now operate in Tanzania.

 Women and Youth development

One cannot mention poverty without first mentioning the great effect it has on women and youth. Women and youth constitute a great number of people living below the poverty line, hence denying women -- living in strongly male dominated communities -- an equal position in the society. The program is organized to alleviate poverty among women and youth, and to empower them to contribute meaningfully to nation building. We train the women and youth to be self-employed, to know their rights and to be able to stand against women and child abuse in the communities. The women are also entitled to be economically independent in their societies to enable them join their male counterparts in the societies to eradicate poverty. The KWW in collaboration with these women and youth groups, runs small-scale businesses such as tie-dye making, batik making, pottery, poultry farming, and tomato farming. The aim of this project is to make a little money for these women to be able to support their families and to enable them to send their children to school.  We will be glad to work with you to raise funds for these women and youth prior to your coming. We allow our volunteers to raise some funds for these women in your country of origin to support these projects before coming on the program. The mothers will be extremely grateful for any help that you could offer. Together we will put smiles onto the faces these women and also make their voices heard in the community. 

Orphanage

We works very closely with orphanages with children aged 3 to 18 years. Some of the children we are working with have Down syndrome or are mentally handicapped. Many of these children have lost their parents to HIV/AIDS. The orphanages provide childcare facilities, basic schooling, housing and meals. Volunteers work from 8:00 am until 3:30 pm. We welcome those with a passion for children without parents or whose parents cannot take care of them. Volunteers will contribute their time and energy working with children of all ages, teaching them basic and conversational English. Other activities include games, drawing, feeding, music, washing and dressing the children, and other creative activities. Other subjects can also be taught if you have knowledge or experience in other areas. This program provides participants the chance of life a lifetime to make an impact on the future success of these orphans.

Construction

We are now working or our Kukaye Worldwide School(KWS). Its construction projects to include classroom blocks, clinics, shelters, water and local latrines in various communities in Africa. Volunteers are direly needed to work with local volunteers to carry out these projects. Your precious time to volunteer with us will make a great impact in the lives of the people of Tanzania for this project. The joy, relief, smiles and memories of the communities will forever remain in your mind. Share your energy, time, effort, your willing hands, love and giving heart with these people who really need them.

Media

We are working very closely with media houses. Volunteer will get a lot of experiences on this program. The program provides an opportunity to volunteers to be heard live on the radio broadcasting. Volunteers working in these media houses are fully incorporated into news, interviews, marketing and advertising, and gaining much more experience in programming, production, recording, research, reporting, and many more. No previous experiences are needed.

Children (1-5 years)

No previous experience is necessary. You must be 18 and above and must be the type who is very patient, passionate, understanding, and loves children. That is all that you need. You will have the opportunity to work with little children in a day care center. Volunteers will contribute their time and energy working with children of ages between 1 and 5 years, teaching them basic English, playing games, drawing, feeding, playing music, washing and dressing the children and other creative activities. Other subjects can also be taught if you have knowledge or experience in other areas.

Marketing and advertisements

The program provides a great opportunity to work with industries and advertising companies such as media houses. The volunteers/interns will help among other things to develop new marketing and advertising strategies for the company products. It also gives the volunteers/interns the opportunity to gain more experience in programming, production, recording, research, reporting and many more
